Success of the first edition of Drone World Expo (2026)

Targi Drone World Expo 2026 - Konferencja Drone Industry Summit by Polish Chamber of Unmanned Systems

The first edition of Drone World Expo 2026, held at Ptak Warsaw Expo, was a success, attracting a large number of exhibitors and visitors. The Polish Chamber of Unmanned Systems contributed as a co-organizer of the show, the organizer of the Drone Industry Summit conference on the first day of the show (May 3, 2026), and a Strategic Partner.

This event, under the strategic patronage of the Polish Chamber of Unmanned Systems (PISB), has become a platform for presenting cutting-edge technologies and establishing key international partnerships.

During the fair, the Chamber took important steps to strengthen the position of the Polish unmanned aerial vehicle sector on the international stage:

  • Agreement with Ukraine: A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed with ARMADA. The cooperation will include, among other things, accelerating industrial partnerships, supporting joint research and development (R&D), co-production, field testing, and mobilizing resources for SMEs and startups.
  • Relations with Taiwan: Discussions with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in Taiwan regarding joint technological projects in the UAV industry were resumed.
  • Promotional activities:
    • In cooperation with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), representatives of the Chamber discussed the further promotion of Polish unmanned technologies abroad.
    • The industry’s potential and the construction of a multi-layer anti-drone barrier were also discussed in an interview with the Spanish media outlet Mediaset Spania.

The trade fair focused on topics related to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAM), UTM, and AI, as well as technological solutions for the civilian market, rescue, and crisis management. The Drone Industry Summit conference program, organized entirely by the Polish Chamber of Unmanned Systems, covered a wide range of topics:

  • A summary of the sector’s 12-year history and forecasts for its development;
  • Practical implementations of drones in companies across various industries;
  • Presentation of the latest industry reports;

For PISB representatives, the event presented an organizational challenge, including preparing the program, inviting speakers, and moderating panel discussions. Among those involved in the substantive portion of the event were:

  • Host: Agnieszka Sygitowicz (Polish-Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry);
  • Keynote speaker: Robert Fintak (President of the Management Board of PISB);
  • Panelists and speakers: Justyna Siekierczak, Paweł Szymański, Maciej Włodarczyk, Karol Cheda, Michał Zawadzak, Sławomir Kosieliński, Viliam Ostatnik, Mariusz Naumienko, Wojciech Majewski, Maciej Dusza, Elżbieta Mrozek, Jarosław Szymański, and Paweł Wójcik.

For its contribution to the organization and strategic importance of the event, the Polish Chamber of Unmanned Systems received a diploma and the “Key Partner” medal.

The debut of a trade show dedicated solely to drones demonstrated that there is significant room for this type of dedicated industry event in Poland. The first edition of Drone World Expo 2026 was well-attended, and a second edition is scheduled for March 2-4, 2027.
