Polish Chamber of Unmanned Systems at the DRONTEX 2024 conference
On October 16-17, 2024, the international conference DRONTEX 2024 took place in Piestany, Slovakia. It was the third edition of this event, organized by the Slovak UAV association Mám dron. The Polish Chamber of Unmanned Systems was represented by Robert Fintak and Radosław Zych.
The aim of the event was to promote Polish-Slovak cooperation in the unmanned technology sector. The conference was attended by a total of about 300 people from a dozen different countries from around the world. The importance of DRONTEX 2024 was additionally raised by the fact that the partner of the conference was the Polish Embassy in Bratislava and thus the event was attended by the Polish Ambassador to Slovakia – Piotr Samerek.
According to the agenda, the first day of the conference was divided into three thematic areas: management of unmanned operations in the EU, advanced drone services and R&D of unmanned technologies. The following day, the main theme of DRONTEX 2024 was the use of drones in the security sector.
On the second day of the conference, the Polish Ambassador to Slovakia, Piotr Samerek, gave a speech, as well as a Member of the Board of the Polish Chamber of Unmanned Systems (PISB) – Radosław Zych. The main stage was also attended by Rafał Paprocki from the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA), Konrad Wojciechowski from WB Group, and representatives of the Polish Border Guard – Sebastian Łagoda and Arkadiusz Krzak. On that day, in addition to the conference, an exhibition was also held, and the stands of Polish representatives (including PISB, Terra Hexen, PAŻP, WB Group) were visited by, among others, military attachés from allied countries.
The event was attended by representatives of dozens of companies, business associations, state, EU and international institutions, armed forces and research centres from a total of eleven countries.
