High-level workshop on the current state of counter UAS systems

EUROCONTROL is organising a high-level workshop on the state-of-the-art of counter unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) and similar solutions and measures, looking at their advantages and limitations, and discussing the way forward for the aviation sector. The event will take place on 4 November 2024 at the Brussels EUROCONTROL Headquarter.

Counter-UAS systems address the significant threat posed by unauthorised or nefarious unmanned aerial systems, and provide innovative solutions to detect, track and identify them and mitigate their impact ensuring airspace security and safety.

At the event top experts from the European Commission’s DG HOME, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), EUROCONTROL, EUROCAE, RTCA, Interpol, NATO, the US Federal Aviation Administration, military authorities and the wider aviation industry will help shed light on the topic and the key challenges facing our sector.

Participants will have ample opportunity to share their views and lessons learned before and during the event, by filling in the survey that will be sent out prior to the workshop to help shape the discussions, and by taking part in the Q&A sessions. They will also have the chance to visit an exhibition showcasing some of the latest C-UAS solutions on the market.
