Drone spraying in state forests – a research project

Generalna Dyrekcja Lasów Państwowych, Nadleśnictwo Dobieszyn, Instytut Badawczy Leśnictwa, Polish Chamber of Unmanned Systems and Syngenta Polska Sp. z o.o. jointly conducted a research project testing the effectiveness of drones in spraying forests with stands reaching 20-30 meters in height.

The use of drones for spraying ensures precise, localized application of pesticides, thus reducing their use and overall costs. Drones also ensure a smaller buffer zone (than with traditional methods) is necessary for spraying.
